What can we do to free debate about reproductive health from the culture war and allow people to make their own individual choices?
Feminists for Liberty’s question about the tug-of-war at the Supreme Court on issues surrounding abortion, access to birth control, and other reproductive health issues was featured at The Cato Institute’s 19th Annual Constitution Day symposium earlier today.
“I appreciate the real feminist perspective. Lots of women need to be able to control their reproduction; it affects their life chances,” says Robin Fretwell Wilson, the Roger and Stephany Joslin Professor of Law at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
“We need to think really hard about the humanity of these questions, and try to find ways where we can recognize needs that people honestly have, but not ask people who cannot simply do that thing to do it.”
